News From Your City Manager

Last year, Austin voters approved $720 million for transportation and mobility improvements. As part of the City’s commitment to open data and transparency, you can track how we’re investing that funding in local, corridor, and regional mobility improvements, and find out what types of projects are happening around you.

This week, the City of Austin launched a newly designed website with information about the 2016 Mobility Bond at The website gives you access to background information about the 2016 Mobility Bond program and updates on opportunities to get involved. It also connects you to our new Project Explorer — an interactive platform to explore each project and program being funded by the 2016 Mobility Bond.

The Project Explorer lets you find and track projects by location, type of project, project phase and even City Council district. It also shows you the project’s budget, funding and someone to contact if you want more information.

The Project Explorer will be updated monthly, so you'll always have up-to-date information about how 2016 Mobility Bond funds are being invested to improve transportation and mobility.

Click here to view the Project Explorer or type into your browser.

About this blog

I’m genuinely humbled by the opportunity to lead this workforce, even just for this short period of time. I appreciate the confidence this Mayor and Council have shown in me. This is truly a great organization, with exceptional employees at every level, highly dedicated to serving the people of Austin. My challenge is to help them continue to do their best work while Council searches for a replacement for a new City Manager. More about Hart, here.
