The Emergency Home Repair Program (EHR) assists with repairs for low-income homeowners who are facing a life-threatening condition, or a health and safety hazard.
An EHR staff member will work with the homeowner to develop a scope of work and then manage the contracting and inspection process. The program serves homeowners with incomes at or below 80% of the Median Family Income (MFI). The 2012 median family income established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), for Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos, TX MSA is $73,200. View Income Limits.
