Join Texas Parks & Wildlife, the Audubon Society, and many others in a fun challenge to see which city can document the most species during April 27-30! The City of Austin's Watershed Protection Department is hosting several "Bioblitz" events during the City Nature Challenge. Sign up and help us make observations at these sites using the iNaturalist app. With the iNaturalist app, you just take a picture of a plant, animal, or fungi, and the community will help identify which species it is. We will have a scientist and local naturalists on-site to help identify observations. Before this event, please download the iNaturalist app at www.inaturalist.org & practice uploading observations of species around your home. For the event, bring your smart phone and a water bottle. Please wear long pants & closed-toe shoes. Rubber boots will improve species discovery at these locations, but are not required. Events will be cancelled if there is heavy rain.
