Work on the Austin Water Downtown Reclaimed Water Main is nearing completion. Crews will pave a portion of Red River and East 10th streets overnight.
Crews will pave Red River Street between 9th and 13th streets, and East 10th Street between IH 35 and Red River Street.
Paving hours--Saturday, July 8, from 2 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Traffic control signs will be present to direct traffic around work areas.
Vehicles parked on the streets to be paved must be moved prior to paving or they will be towed.
Motorists and cyclists are encouraged to avoid this area during paving operations.
Construction of the Downtown Reclaimed Transmission Main will bring reclaimed water to downtown Austin. Reclaimed water conserves the drinking water supply and can be used for a variety of non-potable uses such as irrigation and cooling towers.
