Keeping Austin Clean

Austin Resource Recovery does more than pick up trash, recycling and yard trimmings at the curb. We work night and day to keep city streets clean and clear of litter. Throughout the year, we clean residential streets and thoroughfares, clear debris from illegal dump sites and remove dead animals from public rights of way.

Every night, our staff sweeps and cleans designated streets in the downtown Central Business District, and trash is collected from receptacles along Sixth Street and Congress Avenue. 

How You Can Help

When it rains, litter washes from our land and streets into our creeks and rivers, creating pollution, destroying important wildlife habitats and making the City and our recreational areas unsightly.
