The Austin Utility Location and Coordination Committee’s (AULCC's) objective is to identify and resolve any potential conflicts before construction begins. Our division coordinates ROW utility activities through construction phasing, sharing work zones, and identifying opportunities for joint trenching. Per City of Austin ordinance 14-11-165, AULCC shall convene regularly to address the identification of facilities in the right of way, resolution of conflicts in location of facilities, and coordination of plans for excavation in the right of way.
AULCC meetings occur every Thursday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. in the 10th Floor Conference Room of the One Texas Center. AULCC attendees receive the following information specific to their proposed project area:
Current and upcoming activities
Upcoming special events
This information allows project managers to coordinate with utility owners and other project managers thereby reducing project costs, preventing project delays, and minimizing their impact on infrastructure and the transportation system.
Deliver paper plans to Austin Water on the Wednesday two weeks prior to your scheduled AULCC meeting and include a screen print displaying your case, tracking, or folder number. Bring a plan set to your scheduled AULCC meeting.
